I had wanted to let this pass. However, a video clip I watched on WhatsApp prompted me to change my mind.
In the clip, an Ijebu man who is abroad shows how empty his street is of rams. In Nigeria, rams are tied to poles and trees outside homes awaiting execution after the Id prayers.
As a sallah veteran, I really missed the meat.
Normally, I would have planned the happening places. But, that seems to be history now.
So, what kind of friends do I have when they can’t dhl parcels of meat to me?
