We Don Start! – Adewale Sobowale

I understand the governor of Ondo State, his excellent excellency, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu has, in his wisdom, pleaded with civil servants in the state to forget about their unpaid salaries. His argument is that, if they can do so, he will face the current salaries squarely.

What a brilliant submission!

We should applaud the Arakunrin!

Apparently, his amiable Excellency had been too busy with his legal books. If not, he would have read from the holy book that a labourer deserves his wage. In any case, he is a great lawyer, will he agree to a case of shifting the goal post after the game has started?

However, he should appeal to the landlords, the wosi wosi sellers, the school owners, etc that the civil servants are owing to forgive the debts being owed by the civil servants.

He should tell them that old things have passed away. This is the beginning of new things.

Then, I think he should demonstrate the beginning of new things by forsaking all the unnecessary remunerations which are due to him as a governor. He should use the monies to start a foundation for the unemployed.

That is when we can believe he is serious!!!
