I hear some lazy Nigerians have gone to town lampooning the Nigerian president for going to the UK on health grounds. Some Nigerians who are based in London even went as far as going to demonstrate at Abuja House, the Nigerian consulate in the UK!
What’s the matter with us?
Nigerians should have known that Buhari is so loyal and nationalistic to Nigeria that he would not have dared to go for medical tourism outside the country’s borders. At least, not at these economically hazardous times.
I deliberately left out the insecurity that’s rampaging the nation because it’s one of the reasons Buhari jetted out for.
The major reason is that he left the shores of trouble-infested Nigeria to passionately seek the extradition of Nigerians abroad to go back home from their various bases in the diaspora so that they may be part of the gnashing of teeth and weeping that Nigeria has become.
At least, he knows they were part of the enjoyment when Nigeria was quite inviting aeons ago. So, he doesn’t want them to be like the proverbial rat that would eat with the house dweller, and drink with him too. But on the day of his death, the rat wouldn’t be anywhere to be found. He has made good his escape.
So, those of you abroad. we must salvage Nigeria together!
As for medical treatment, it’s only by the way!!
Buhari is only being a good herdsman by looking for the lost cows!!!
