It is no longer news that Saraki and Dogara have become senate president and speaker of the house respectively.
However, the APC is now sulking like an infant whose toy has been seized by a bigger boy.
I hear the party is now talking about treachery and indiscipline.
Some people might have forgotten how Tambuwal emerged as speaker. In any case, I don’t believe there is any party discipline among members of political parties in Nigeria.
If there had been party discipline, I doubt if the APC would have been in power now. Definitely, there will be no mass exodus that we witnessed when the last general elections were approaching.
The Nigerian politician is always looking for where his bread will be buttered.
By the way, does it not make sense that where the interest of the party is at variance with that of the nation and therefore the people, the latter should take precedence?
Not in Nigeria!
In any case, I foresee some major parties crumbling. At least, one new party will arise out of the rubbles. Let’s hope that it is when this happens that citizen Muda will have a say!
