Isn’t it sad the way things are turning in our society? So, one cannot even leave children in another’s care again!
I’m talking of the lecherous elements in human skin, paedophiles.
The African traditional system is so structured that we normally say, only one person produces a child but everyone looks after the child.
But now, tori don get k-leg!
I’m not just looking at the case of the animal who used to be a supervisor of a school who was recently convicted. Actually, if I had my way, the guy ought to have served the rest of his days in the zoo.
But then, he might even descend on the animals’ babies!
I’m still finding it hard to comprehend the fact that a full-grown man, an educated person who happened to be in the teaching business for that matter, could sink to the low of sexually harassing a two year old girl. In fact harassing seems to be be a fine word in this case.
He was convicted of RAPING her!
But his own case shouldn’t be treated in isolation. We’ve had cases of fathers impregnating daughters. We’ve had cases of uncles sexually harassing nieces.
Husbands and sisters-in-law cases are uncountable.
Pastors and lady worshippers nko? That one is so common. Lecturers against female students, that one is as frequent as anything.
Speaking of those using their positions of authority to seek for sexual gratification amongst female folks who happen to encounter the men in authority is so common that it’s better left unsaid unless the victims come out to relate their experiences.
I do think we should draw the battle line in a way these predators would not find it funny if they should refuse to depart from their sick ways!
Apart from teaching our children precautionary measures, we should encourage victims to speak out and they should be assured they won’t be stigmatized.
By the way, I would have expected our journalists to do an indepth investigation on the Chrisland sicko. Let’s know what he did as a supervisor, are there other victims? Let’s know his family life, etc
