Russia deports migrants!

In response to the recent terrorist attack on Moscow, the authorities in Russia have sanctioned raids on dormitories and apartments housing Central Asian migrants, and they are carrying out mass deportations.

The Kyiv Independent reports that several gunmen opened fire at the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk on the evening of March 22. They killed 139 people.

A branch of the Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack. Russia detained four men from Tajikistan who are alleged perpetrators of the attack. Over a dozen people have been arrested under suspicion of having a connection with the attack.

The attack has fueled up anti-migrant sentiments in Russia. Russia hosts millions of workers from former Soviet Central Asian nations.
