The elections to the office of President in Nigeria, as far as I’m concerned, promises to be a good joke.
Ijọ́ ikú erin, ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àdà laá ńrí!
I wonder why people who can not even win the election in their families, not talk of local governments, are joining the fray.
Mind you, I recognize the rights of everyone to vote or be voted for.
But do we really have a functional party system in Nigeria? It would have been the function of the political party to zero down on possible candidates.
But this, pikin no fine im mama like am, we’re doing, kángun, kángun, kàngùn ó ní láti kángún síbì kan.
I want to make a confession, I’ve never seen 100 million naira.
I mean physically!
For where?
But the way our politicians are going about it, the presidency is probably for the highest bidder.
For a person to spend a whopping 100 million naira on the gamble which the Nigerian presidency has become, he needs having his head examined.
And, even if one of them is lucky to enter Aso Rock, what are the chances that he will perform well?
Should we open our eyes and vote for another mess?
