Pennsylvania pastor escapes gunshots!

A pastor has escaped being killed after a man attempted to shoot him during sermon on Sunday.

Bernard Polite has been charged with attempted homicide after police alleged that he took aim at Pastor Glenn Germany at Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church.

Down the street, police are also investigating a shooting that left a man dead. Police were called to the house because a man had been shot. Inside they found Derek Polite dead. Interestingly, he was found in the same address as the one listed for Bernard Polite.

According to neighbours, the two are cousins.

Police do not have any evidence, yet, that Bernard shot Derek. They are still investigating.

Meanwhile, Pastor Germany said, “I’m blessed to still be here.” He was still emotional on Monday recalling the feelings of fear when the gun was pointed at him.

His 14-year-old daughter who was in the congregation reportedly broke down after the fact.

Germany ducked out of the way after finding himself staring down the barrel of a gun. Deacon Clarence McCallister jumped up and tackled Polite.

While the pastor doesn’t plan to have extra security, he says he has forgiven Polite for attacking him.He also wants to work with him to better his life.

Meanwhile, the pastor wants the doors of the church to remain open.
