Changing seasons are natural!
They’re so natural that I believe every adult should have been used to them.
What I’m saying is how is a changing year different from a changing nanosecond or decade or century?
The difference is people!
Once we determine to allow justice to prevail, to respect the next person and to live with the conscious belief of allowing others to live, we’ll be in heaven while still on earth.
So, in what way has the new year brought about a change in our attitudes and beliefs? In what way has it changed our inhumanity to our fellow men?
Has it stopped the conflicts and wars, homelessness, drought, flooding, and crime in the world? Indeed, has it stopped rivalry for rivalry’s sake?
If people refuse to change, seasons will just be going and we’ll be left to be perennially recording the events happening. Unfortunately for us, the events will outlive us, and our children will continue recording and so on.
But then, we can still make our lives worthwhile by making changes in our various situations.
It wouldn’t be a bad idea if we could choose to have a peaceful world where everyone’s rights are fully respected!
