A controversial Nigerian transgender, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye a.k.a. Bobrisky has been sentenced to a jail term of six months in prison without an option of fine.
Idris who admitted to being a man before being sentenced by Justice Abimbola Awogboro, was jailed for abusing the local currency, the naira.
Mr Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos said, it was necessary to deter others from similar acts of abuse and mutilation of the naira.
