I don’t know what the presidential committee on amnesty will come out with. However, I just thought I should suggest something!
When President Jonathan mooted the idea of amnesty, the boko haram guys rejected it flatly. They reportedly said they were the ones who should give Jonathan, Nigeria and Nigerians amnesty.
I think the boko haram guys are good chess players. They are masters of the end game. In most departments they have succeeded in defeating the Nigerian government.
I am therefore suggesting that Nigeria and Nigerians should surrender in defeat. If we surrender, the seemingly endless killings will stop.
However, surrendering will come at a price. In the first instance, there will no longer be a presidential system of government. We will then turban the boko haram leader (Shekarau?) as the head of the muslim state of Nigeria.
Every church,shrine or temple will become a mosque. Every school will become a Quaran learning centre.
Of course, every Nigerian must become a muslim. Indeed, every visitor to Nigeria must become a muslim, if they are not yet one.
How beautiful will it be if the erstwhile leaders of the other major religion are made to wear turbans. In any case, they will have no choice since every Nigerian is a muslim.
The constitution will have no place in the new Islamic state of Nigeria. Sharia law or boko haram’s interpretation of the Sharia will be the in thing.
One other thing, instead of waiting for aljanna before marrying seven virgins, it will be here on earth.
We will have heaven on earth and everybody will live happily forever!
