Had they known?
They wouldn’t have dared
tampering with commonwealth
making have-nots’ cases
even worse!
Had they known?
They wouldn’t have been
bereft of ideas
of making poor, ordinary people
have sense of dignity!
Had they known?
They would have provided
most basic of amenities!
So they won’t be dying abroad
while on medical excursion!
Had they known?
They wouldn’t have removed
money from public till
for their children yet-unborn
because it’s a curse!
Had they known?
They wouldn’t have been warring,
they would have been seated
at discussion tables
organizing world peace!
Since they’d deliberately chosen
not to know,
and felt they’d outlive the world,
the globe has become stuck on them!
Their greed couldn’t have let them realize
their inherent poverty of mind,
depriving them luxury of understanding
they are primitive in wealth acquisition!
They can’t fathom
a single billionaire
among a billion poor
is also a poor man!
