What do they really want?
People are complaining about our living large;
after empowering them –
Didn’t they know we must make tenfold of investment?
They are complaining about our SUVs;
These people are too lazy
to think straight!

Didn’t they know we need to empower ourselves
against bad roads to visit our constituencies?
In any case, we need to show the opposition we’ve arrived!
By the way, if they knew the amount we have
in the banks, what would they do?
Or, about the money we’re spending on
our wives not to talk of side chicks!
Local schools are no longer good enough
for our wards because they’re not well-equipped;
We don’t eat local food again,
they are likely to be cancerous!
They hardly know we’re doing them a favour
by visiting them!
We could have stayed in our cosy offices
or our palatial official houses
and not bother with them!
After all, we know we can always give them
crumbs when the next election is approaching!
We understand them
much more than they do themselves!
They may not know the cupful of rice
we give them four-yearly
is not for them to eat!
But to plant and the growth
will be manifold
enough to feed generations!
