Fast for forty days,
Masses fast everyday.
Awe ti b’awe nle,
We already spent,
Without being sent
Aeons in fast,
Cos we lack.

We must pay,
Through fasting,
We are smiling.
Already we’re hungered
Cos we pondered
Over nothing to eat,
We have no wheat.

While picking,
The left overs
