In biblical times, Naaman was a Syrian commander. He was so good that the Syrian king revered him.
But Naaman was a leper.
The Syrian king heard that there was a powerful prophet in Israel. The king then sent Naaman with a letter to the king of ̈Israel.
The recipient didn’t know what to do with Naaman. But Prophet Elisha asked Naaman to go see him.
When the commander saw Elisha, the prophet told him to go have a bath in River Jordan.
Hesitantly, he obeyed the prophet.
And he became clean.
That’s the story of former president Goodluck Jonathan.
Even if he fails to contest or if he contests and loses, he has won the hearts of those Nigerians who deemed it fit to field the most insulted president of Nigeria.
But, my own take is does it mean he ruled Nigeria well?
