The Highlife great, Victor Olaiya released a thought provoking album in the sixties titled, ‘Kosowo lode’.
It’s a pity that the content of the album remains an understatement to the situation in Nigeria today. This is in spite of the illusory face saving owambe parties that are the order of the day in some parts of the country.
I’m sure men would have been tired of ladies seeking for friendships on the social media. Tired because once the friendship is accepted, the next thing is to ask for money.
The most worrisome is the fact that the girls are ready to do anything, just anything, for material gains.
I’m not contesting the fact that things are pretty hard. But it’s not peculiar to Nigeria.
For some, the hard times are bringing out the best in them. That’s where the power of one’s thought and the entrepreneurial acumen possessed by a person show.
Now ladies, please do think of your future.
Owo a tan, a k’omoluwabi!
Please, don’t spoil your omoluwabi. The men of today – I’m one – will only use and squeeze you like an orange.
Of course, you should know what happens to orange skins!
