Quite a lot of people must have watchef the already viral video of Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a Sunday Igboho in which he mocked Pastor Adeboye.
The pastor lost his son a few days ago.When he was asked to empathise with the pastor by his media aide, he went into a diatribe against the pastor and others that have allegedly failed to support his so-called Yoruba nation.
Adeboye’s support of the Yoruba nation or lack of it is, to me, not an issue. The Yoruba have a saying that, even if we’re quarreling, we should sheathe our swords when it’s a matter of death.
Now, let’s look at the antecedents of Sunday. His claim to being a progressive is very shady.I would rather declare him as a thug who has done well for himself with the proceeds of his questionable earnings.
From being an omo buruku, he has grown into a non- Omoluwabi. We could give him some credit, though. His trying to flush out the Fulani arose from the laxity of the Nigerian system.
The people, as usual, are waiting for heroes to save them.Does an Igboho qualify as our hero? There’s a saying that when good people refuse to act, evil men would always take their place.
For the Igbohos of this world, they could go on mocking bereaved people because they can’t ever die!
