I utterly fail to understand the problem of my people. So, Nigeria’s return to the old national anthem is now a hard nut to crack for us.
We have failed to see the inherent values in the change. The legislators saw them, that’s why the bill was passed in arguably a record time. The executives saw them and ithe bill was signed with alacrity.
For those who didn’t know, our going back to the old anthem speaks volumes.
Pretty soon, every naira will be equal to a Pound Sterling. That’s an economic master stroke as virtually all our financial problems would have been solved.
Prices of commodities will go back to what they were in the sixties. Nigeria will go back to the parliamentary system of government and save the millions being wasted on making laws.
Of course, we’ll go back to the regional system of government, thereby saving money.
The initial coup and counter coup will be annulled and the casualties will be brought back to life. The same will happen to all other coups.
All the governments that reigned since 1960 will be removed and all monies received as salaries paid back.
On a personal note, the president is busy settling scores with ebora owu. He introduced the anthem in the 70s.
Can you see how it’s a priority?
We have only mentioned a few!
Nigeria we hail thee!
