Eternal Journey – Adewale Sobowale

I wanted to travel to Ghana for some days. I was now faced with what to take along.

Which books, what type of clothing, etc

The thought then came to me of what we would need on our eternal journey. I mean when we finish our sojourn on earth.

You see, being buried in a grave is a privilege. Those who perished in the fabled Bermuda triangle did not offend God more than those who get buried in gold plated caskets.

However, it is my opinion that we burden ourselves with what we hardly need to live a worthy life.

At this time of the year, many are looking forward to eating, drinking, putting on new clothes. Of course, omo to sise dede gbodo gbadun emi e.

However, let’s look into our closets for those clothes which we don’t really need. Let’s look into our pantries for the extra food that we can do without, even in this period of recession.

Let’s go and bless the have nots with what God, in His infinite mercy, has chosen to bless us with.

Let the poor amidst us see reason in the season.

Here’s wishing everybody a merry Christmas and a much more prosperous new year!!!
