At least 35 people have been killed and dozens more injured in Israeli airstrikes on Rafah.

LBC reports that rockets were launched into Rafah after Hamas launched rockets towards Tel Aviv in months.

The Israeli airstrike reportedly hit a refugee camp. However, Israel insists that it hit a Hamas compound in Rafah.

According to reports, Hamas’ chief of staff for the West Bank and another senior leader within the group were killed by the strike.

The Hamas-run health ministry has claimed that 35 people died, most of them being women and children.
