I gather the petrol distributor has been sentenced to jail. She’s to remain behind bars for twenty seven months.
While praising the justice system for doing the needful, I would have thought it better for justice to have some comical effects.
For instance, if she couldn’t serve as petroleum minister, why not as a gas filling station attendant!
At least, she would be doing some community service!
I understand she was given an option of paying a fine. And they say the fine is 15 thousand naira!
Now given the nature of the offence, distributing gasoline in a public place, what could be more than a slap on the wrist?
