“This is to show the beauty of Islam, only one person started this project and completed it without waiting for the government and the community. This is someone that does not even have a car of his own, but he demonstrated a good intention as taught by Islam.” – Imam Ishaq Muhammadu Awwal.
The Imam was speaking during his inspection of the bridge constructed by Dosumu Kazeem. Yes, Kazeem, who is also a farmer, a 40-year-old, is a student of the Imam.
This is what I believe religious groups should be doing, that is, having healthy competition among themselves instead of the insanity that is happening in Ilorin.
Kazeem spent close to 13 million naira on the project even though he doesn’t have a car. He had to borrow money from his aged parents, he missed the lesser Haj and his children’s school fees were also a casualty of his selfless project.
I guess his local government chairman was among those prostrating for the state governor, who has been described as an emperor by some parties.
I think it’s people like Kazeem Dosumu who should be encouraged to governance positions!
