In a comment to my post yesterday, someone alluded in a wishy washy way that they might have heard a rumor about me.
Of course, people must be rumored about. Even the dead are rumored about.
However, the guy who made the comment has unwittingly opened a can of worms.
When I had that health challenge, I ended up in the hospital. If I’m not mistaken, I was there for five days.
The following morning after the incident, the principal, at the morning briefing, was said to have dismissed my case as, afowofa- self inflicted.
I normally went out to eat, and for some unfathomable reasons, she and some others believed I must have taken some alcoholic drink which resulted in my health challenge. I wonder how educated people could believe such hogwash without proof.
In any case, the principal said I didn’t deserve any cent from the welfare fund. The welfare fund was something we were coerced to contribute to from our salaries even before we received salaries.
Out of the nine years I spent in that school, that would have been the first time I would have received anything from the welfare fund.
After my resignation from the school, someone allegedly mentioned that the school should organize a sendforth for me. Someone was said to have replied that I didn’t go normally. I wouldn’t know the abnormality in my refusal to be further dehumanized.
By the way, the principal signed my papers.
One impetulant vice principal had described my resignation as ‘being ungrateful’. This is a man I wouldn’t want to comment about unless I’m forced to talk about his deeds.
If the guy I mentioned earlier hadn’t made the insinuation, I wouldn’t have had to set the records straight.
But then, I’m still grateful to God!
