Should we blame our destiny?
Should we blame our laziness?
Should we blame our never-say-die attitude?
Should we blame our sticking to tribalism?
Why is it that out of all our people,
we’ve not been able to find
good people to rule us?
Is there no good person
in our country?
Are politicians
bewitching us?
Before we blame others,
could we look into the mirror?
What are we seeing?
Ourselves?
We’re the sum total
of what each of our
politicians are!
If we change our ways,
our politics will change!
So will our politicians!
Change starts from us;
We shouldn’t accept bribes
coloured as empowerment!
We should vote
our conscience;
Until then,
Let’s be enjoying
our Frankenstein!
