Balm In Egbe? – Adewale Sobowale

A long time ago, I used to be an SU. One of the songs we used to sing then was about some balm in Gilead!

I’m happy to inform Nigerians that the new Gilead seems to be in Egbe, a suburb of Lagos.

It’s right too! This is because Nigerians are so much investing in churches not to see the results. At least, the G.O.s are seeing the results in their limousines and jets.

A name that’s ringing loudly here is not that of a Nigerian politician, neither is it of an academic in the same country.

Rather, it’s the name of a pastor. And it’s none other than the pastor who is based in Egbe. I mean the one whose guest house collapsed causing the death of many South Africans.

In fact, many here are dying to visit the pastor’s synagogue. Apparently, they’ve been viewing the pastor’s exploits on his internet telly.

He’s fast becoming another forex earner for his home country.
And, of course, anu’mo kii f’owo nu’le!
It’s simply impossible for someone to be a dollar spinner without benefitting therefrom.

Let somebody shout a resounding hallelujah!
