I wonder what some people have been fretting about concerning Omo Baba Oloye’s victory at the CCT. He has the money and he spent it on hiring the best lawyers. I am not aware he broke any law, despite being a lawmaker, before winning the case.
And by the way, he has a good track record. His days at Societe Generale Bank was a blessing to his family and the country. But I guess some riffraffs will say it was a blessing mostly to his family.
That’s where they got it wrong. Did the bank not create hundreds, if not thousands, of employment? Did it not give out loans?
Abeegi!
What about his days as gomina? At least he imported some white farmers from Zimbabwe. He went ahead to make his state guarantee their loans and they started real farming. Did Kwara people not enjoy that?
If they didn’t, why did they vote him in for a second term?
To show how they love him, they voted him in as a senator again.
And, he has been presiding well in the senate.
Some people are even saying his next bus stop is Aso. If not, why not?
I just pity Dr Isola Oyenusi, Babatunde Folorunso, Joel Amamieye, and co. They lived at the wrong time.
If they had lived in the present time, I bet they would not have been condemned to face a volley of bullets.
No!
They would have had enough money to hire the best of lawyers. Their lawyers would have cited cases to get them admitted to bail. It would not have mattered even if they had been Judas Iscariot accused of betraying the Nazarene.
Then the rounds of hearing would have started. It would have led to their cases being discharged for lack of cogent evidence.
Who says the law is an ass!
