I understand the African Union is embarrassed by American President Trump’s declaration that some countries are shitholes.
Yes, they ought to be. You know people don’t like outsiders to correct or criticize them. If not so, I wouldn’t think President Trump was wrong.
In fact, he even tried for the fact that he didn’t describe those nations as shit.
So they said he was being racist. I wouldn’t know anything that is racist in shooting from the hips.
It is my considered opinion that if any organization should protest against what the president said, it definitely shouldn’t be the African Union.
What records do African nations in the union have?
Misrule
Poverty
Corruption
Tyranny
Human trafficking
Flight of manpower
Medical tourism, etc.
Let us, Africans, go, sit down and do some thinking. We actually need to think.
Looking at the continent, it is quite blessed. But we, the people, are something else. It is a beer parlour joke that if a nation in Africa exchanged its people with a nation in Europe, the changes would be apparent in a matter of months. The African country would be transformed positively, while the European nation would be worse off.

I think African countries should be queueing up to give President Trump the highest national honour of their respective countries.
I may not be a Trump supporter, but on his saying some countries are shitholes – which includes African countries – he is on course.
This is not about patriotism. If we want to be patriotic, we will make our space on earth a much better place!
