China now plants cassava, and from it makes and exports gari to Nigeria below our market price.
So, we don’t have to plant cassava anymore because it would be cheaper to buy China gari than to plant our own gari.
Then China will start making eba and fufu from their cassava, packaging them with preservatives and sending them to us cheap like Indomie.
So, we don’t have to make eba and fufu anymore because it would be easier to buy packaged China fufu and eba than to prepare our own fufuf or eba.
Then China will plant yam, and from it make and export Isu to Nigeria below our market price.
So, we don’t have to plant yams anymore because it would be cheaper to buy China yam than to plant our own yams.
Then China will be producing iyan and elubo from their yams, packaging them with preservatives and sending it to us cheap like cornflakes.
Then China will plant pepper, and from it make and export rodo, tàtàsé and sọ̀m̀bọ̀ to Nigeria below our market price.
So, we don’t have to plant pepper anymore because it would be cheaper to buy China pepper than to plant our own pepper.
Then China will start producing ọbẹ̀ ata both mild and sharp from their pepper, packaging them with preservatives and sending them to us cheap like Indomie.
Then China will plant melon, and from it make and export egusi to Nigeria below our market price.
So, we don’t have to plant melon anymore because it would be cheaper to buy China melon than to plant our own melon.
Then China will be making obe egusi from their melon, packaging it with preservatives and sending it to us cheap like cornflakes.
So than when our wealthy folks throw those lavish parties, they can order eba, iyan, amala, efo riro, ila, egusi and orisirisi (all packaged and ready with preservative) straight from China, microwave them and serve them on China plates, as our olowo dance , judi-balabala, judi bolobolo and spray money like there is no tomorrow.
And our poor folks stare at them in hunger and silence, like abandoned properties.
Our farmlands would be deserted because it would make no sense to be a farmer as China food would be cheaper and ready-made and packaged with preservatives to last long on the grocery shelves.
Those talaka unable to afford the made in China packaged food, but are unable to find any Nigerian-grown food on the market (because the farmlands are abandoned), they are on their own o.
Na OYO dem dey.
Nobody send them.
Look around: imported used cloths. Imported used cars. Imported used phones. Imported used laptops. Imported used everything.
And when all the food is imported from China, America, Indonesia, and Taiwan–with our oil money—we will just sit back and enjoy the fruits of our imports.
From Azikiwe, Balewa, Ironsi, Gowon, Muri-Muhammed, Obasanjo, Shagari, Babangida, Abacha, Buhari, Yaradua, Jonathan to Tinubu, united we stand.
And Atiku and Obi are already in line to continue when Tinubu is ready to pass the baton.
If na curse, make dem remove am o.
