A friend sent a video clip to me which I in turn shared on Facebook and WhatsApp.
You know what?
I don’t believe it happened in real life.
But I tend to believe it’s a mockery of the security situation in Nigeria.
I believe Nigerians are an endangered species. Or should I have said ordinary Nigerians?
What basic amenities are being enjoyed by the common people? Light? Water? Food? Roads? Security?
Yet we are hearing daily of government borrowings.
Yet people are registering as aspirants for political posts with tens of millions of the naira.
And some of us, for the fact that we are “lucky” to be among the ruling elite, are hardly bothered. Our target is our neighbor. That’s why we are having this “I beta pass my neighbor” syndrome.
Although the government could be blamed for its inactions, but are we not the government? Let’s search our communities and look for extraordinary people who can serve us.
I’ve always said it and I’ll continue saying that until we are ready to deliver ourselves, the politicians will just be raping us.
How can you expect anyone who had spent so much to get elected to be loyal to the people and the constitution? Isn’t it our prayer that whatever we handle, in terms of trade, should be surplus?
If you didn’t know, most politicians see politics as a type of trade. Have you ever asked yourself why it’s impossible to have even a personal defense set up? I mean when people come to breach our personal safety, what are we to do?
So, if robbers attack my house, I should be looking like dundee because I dare not defend myself.
I think we should gather our thoughts together and vote for the right people!
