That the government of Nigeria is insensitive to the people’s feelings is an obvious understatement.
Daylight armed robbery and petty stealing are going on in Ogun and Lagos States as I’m typing this. Yet the authorities hardly have any response.
By the way, the states are on lockdown because of COVID 19. Methinks locking people within their homes while hardly providing for them is a grave inhumane act.
In Nigeria, only few people are employed by the government and companies. The others mostly go out there to eke out a living for themselves.
By the way, even those who are collecting salaries hardly have anything to show for it by mid month.
Now, all are expected to be home without any means of sustaining themselves.
It’s a choice between COVID 19 and hunger in Nigeria!
Since government has shown it’s not ready to give people palliatives, if it’s not callous, it should allow people to go out and search for their daily bread.
