gods need human parts! – Adewale Sobowale

When I talk about my motherland, I’m so passionate about how we have disappointed the living God.

Yeah!

We have because God has been so merciful to Nigeria that He has provided almost
everything needed for a nation to run, and run well, for the country.

What else do we want?

Manpower?
Fertile lands?
Agricultural resources?
Mineral resources?
Good weather?

We have even more. The only thing is we are expecting God to come down and be our nanny.

But then, that’s a story for some other day.

Of grave concern to me is the rate at which human sacrifice goes on in Nigeria. Some idiotic juju man asks a more idiotic fellow to bring human parts for money rituals.

The man, who should have had his brain examined, then goes about looking for humans to be used.

They never bother to ask the juju man why he’s still a bit better than a pauper if he really knows how to make a person rich.

Some even go to the extent of using their own mothers. I mentioned mothers not because anyone should be used as sacrifice, not even the madman seeking an illusive wealth, to show how desperate these guys are.

It’s a verifiable truth that young boys involved in Yahoo plus are guilty of this. But then, others are too.

Yet, Nigeria is likely to have the world’s highest number of churches and mosques. We are known to be the most religious nation on earth.

Isn’t it a fact that, in most cases, people are drawn to church work because of the joblessness that is prevalent in Nigeria?

For me, there are three types of pastors. The first set is made up of those who went into the job to feed their hungry stomachs. The second is made up of those who were called by some bishop. The third is made up of those who were called by God.

It’s not surprising that the last set is made up of very few people.

As I would usually say, we are not yet willing to change our story. When we are, we will stop all this nonsense!
