In a statement by the presidency, the Buhari government claims it has done better for Nigeria than he met it.
Oh well, the announcement makes me remember an African proverb about the lizard which falls from a wall. Since nobody has congratulated it, Mr Lizard goes on to congratulate itself.
Now, Mr Buhari should congratulate his administration on all fronts.
He promised to make sure the naira is equal to the dollar. Latest reports say the dollar is about three hundred and eighty naira.
He also promised to defeat the boko haram insurgents. Of course, he has done that.
Indeed, Nigeria is now a tourist destination since the atmosphere is peaceful. Some wailers are claiming it’s a peace of the graveyard.
Government officials are no longer going abroad for medical tourism. Mr President has shown how to lead by example. He is always patronizing local hospitals for his ear and other infections.
The state and local governments have been so empowered that instead of seeking succor from Aso Rock, the states and local governments now fund the center. Maybe, that’s why the center can’t hold again!
It’s true that when the bush rat grows up, he’ll be sucking its child’s breast.
Over one million graduates have been employed across the nation. This beats the president’s promise of 740,000.
Former members of the National Youth Service Corps who are yet to get jobs are being given entrepreneurship training.
And, wait for this, they are being paid.
One can’t just finish mentioning all the achievements of Mr Buhari.
He can still do more if given the opportunity to contest again!
