Spirit of Change!!! – Adewale Sobowale

I understand a biil has been placed before the senate to regulate social media. This is an appropriate development. Isn’t it?

Why should anybody have the audacity to be writing rubbish on social media in spite of all the good things this government is doing?

In the first instance, petrol (PMS) is very much available in every filling station from Lagos to Sokoto. It is not only available, it is affordable.

People are also being begged to work simply because the jobs are too many. In fact, university students are recruited even before they finish their studies.

Food is in abundance. The government has succeeded in providing agric estates. The estates are providing all our food. What’s more? We are now exporting food items.

Mineral resources are now being tapped. In actual fact, we can quote one of our past leaders and say, ‘Money is not Nigeria’s problem, it is how to spend it’, he was reputed to have said.

Electricity is well supplied. In fact, the power holders are no longer holding our power. Government has also shown interest in solar energy and all houses have solar panels. Our deep freezers are freezing everything. We must give kudos to the government for banning ‘I better pass my neighbour’ generators. Since we now have light 24-7 there is no need for these noisemakers.

The book haramites have now embraced western education so that they will not lose out in this season of change. The Chibok girls are now back in their schools. They will be sitting for their WAEC and NECO exams next year.

Although what we are practising is the American type of presidential system, we must make it fit into the African culture. No man is allowed to disrespect an oba. A political office holder is higher than an oba. So they must be well respected.

I suggest summary execution for whoever writes against the government on social media. That certainly will teach others some lesson!!!
