It’s no news that Messers Buhari and Amosun used to belong to the same party. It’s no news also that Amosun has differed from his party in the selection of gubernatorial candidates who’ll replace the said Amosun.
But Buhari doesn’t appear to have any inkling about how politics and politicians work. Or how can we explain a governor taking a candidate of an opposition party to the President in the state house.
I was reliably informed that the president’s visit to Ogun State today nearly led to a calamitous end for the president himself. He was nearly stoned in the confusion.
Yes, it appears Amosun’s other name is confusion. Why would any politician that’s worth his salt be in one party and tacitly be supporting a candidate from another party. I understand he even floated that party.
If he had done well, why would he need a so called soft landing?
