Party Over? – Adewale Sobowale

Ogun state government recently ejected those, according to the government, not doing any sporting business at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta.

How could government have time for these peaceful people? What are their offences?

It’s like government doesn’t recognise some other sporting activities.

Haba, o ma se o!

In the first instance, drinking is a world recognised sporting activity. It is normally supervised by Bacchus.

Some go to drink so that they might not be caught in the snail like traffic on their way home from work. This, of course, will reduce the number of vehicles on the roads.

Others go to drink because they are bored. They need some activity. Clubbing is a natural activity for these people.

It was said that some go there to offer sex services. Well, is that not a matter of using what you have to get what you want?

By the way, does chasing the scarlet ladies prevent them from being sex workers? I hear they are planning to invade the various bus stops.

Their union is also planning to sue the government.

On the sellers of stuff. I hope you know what stuff means. Well, they believe the stadium is the equivalent of an open seclusion.

I’m sure the Internal Revenue Generation Agency would not applaud the government. They know the amount of tax they get from the stadium.

Wait for it!

It’s not from sports but from OTHER sports.

It is good riddance to bad rubbish!
