So, Queen Elizabeth passed away yesterday.
If the Europeans are doing their alakori akada and inferring they couldn’t lose their Queen and lose their money, what about we Africans that were colonized by the Europeans. Most of us are members of the British Commonwealth.
We must show our Africanness!
In the first instance, the Windsor Castle made an unpardonable error in announcing the monarch’s passing the same day, she died.
In Africa or Yorubaland, it would have taken at least a month before the announcement.
Meanwhile, there would have been “ijoja”, that is, market peoples’ wares would have been seized by eminent thugs who had been privy to the fact.
Then there should have been an isede, curfew, by the orò – a cult that normally goes out in the night, but in this case, it would have come out at noon.
Women are not allowed to see the oro, even men who aren’t members of the cult must be indoors.
Then, the sacrifices!
So many animals birds and drinks would have been used as sacrifices.
Human beings too would have been used.
When we get to the interment stage, a Queen.wouldn’t have been buried just like that. She would have been buried with enough things to ease her journey home. Even Eledumare would have paid tributes.
Human beings would have been buried with to help carry her luggage!
Then would come the struggle for the throne for which several kingmakers would have made fortunes.
