That Ramon Adedoyin has been sentenced to death is no news.
However, I’m more concerned about what he and his fellow felons had intended using the corpse for.
I learn, he is a medical doctor.
Could he have intended using the body or the vital organs for an insane experiment?
Did he need the corpse for some fetishistic purpose? Maybe he wanted to use the cadaver for an “ibori.”
For a prince who had contested for the throne of the Ooni of Ife, a so-called educationist who owns a University and a polytechnic, a hotelier, among other things, he is not only a disappointment but a disaster personified.
And to think if he had become the Ooni of Ife, we would have had a potential murderer as the traditional head of the Yoruba nation worldwide!
His is a case of if gold rusts what shall iron do?
One thing I’ve always been saying is that if one loves some god so well and the god needs human sacrifice, would it not have been better for the devotee to use themselves. Although that’s also against the laws of the land, there was no way they could have been tried.
They are not even permitted by the laws of the land to use their children like the biblical Abraham.
We know that it’s not possible to bring Timothy Adegoke, a master’s student of Obafemi Awolowo University back to life again, but the fact that justice has taken its cause is a bit comforting.
I’m still wondering how cold blooded murderers can sleep, with the knowledge that they had killed a fellow human being!
By the way, I nearly worked with his polytechnic in Lagos!!
