After a lot of consideration, we’ve come to the conclusion that our man of the year is the common man, popularly known as Citizen Muda, where I come from.
They are the ones who bear the brunt of bad decision-making by so-called leaders. They are homeless, hungry, and hopeless.
They rarely have any wills since they live from hand to mouth. In any case, they hardly have anything to will to their successors. except for the debts they owe.
This season is an especially unpleasant period for them. The post-pandemic era brought wars here and there with the accompanying inflation.
Yet, those who have jobs among them keep the machines running. Those are the special breed whose jobs have not been taken over by AI!
The common man should be celebrated as a Special Man!
