Quite a lot of people have commented on the killing of a CEO by his erstwhile girlfriend or sidechick in popular parlance!
However, the way I see the whole issue is that of a decaying society from which the basic values and norms have fled.
Before that gruesome incident, had other condemnable crimes not been happening?
Husbands murdering wives, wives murdering husbands, school children being kidnapped, adults being kidnapped, armed robberies that would make Isola Folorunso look like a saint, government not providing basic amenities, top brass of the military siphoning monies meant for ammunition, etc.
Considering this state of discombobulation, the discerning would hardly be surprised that we could get to this stage.
Apportioning blames may not help issues. We should go back to the basics. All those norms and values could still be brought back.
