A video clip has gone viral on social media about a lady who was alleged to have stolen a phone.
Amongst other indignities, the lady was stripped naked and had pepper inserted into her private organs.
I couldn’t believe the fact that that’s happening in modern-day Nigeria. But then, what’s modern about Nigeria?
Is Nigeria not where, as opposed to all he did from 1984 to 1985, Mr Buhari was elected as head of state in 2015? And like the proverbial leopard, he has not changed his skin.
Is Nigeria not where Mr Atiku is running for president? Morally, since no administration has had the balls to investigate the power deal in which OBJ and he featured prominently, he should not have contested.
Even the matter of privatisation of public companies should have dissuaded people from voting for him.
But then, we’re talking of Nigeria, a country where anything and everything goes!
Back to the girl who was alleged to have stolen a phone. What right did those men have to undress her? What right did they have to even touch her, not to talk of inserting raw pepper in her private parts?
I’m concerned because the girl could have lost her life.
There’s no rule of law in Nigeria!
