Mmm!
We’re very happy here. To say we’re enjoying it will be worse than an understatement.
We get fed 24/7 on the grass in the court. This is a place to be for us. Can you imagine the fact that we even go to the hall to scavenge? And I’m not talking of some poor man’s food. Some of us even get lucky at times to have some drinks.
We’re not endangered. What’s more, we have the opportunity to go to school.
If not for some overzealous ones among us, the classrooms used to be left open. But those spoilt brats were in the terrible habit of going inside the classes to make feasts of some poor pupils’ books, defecating, and urinating therein.
You know, every action would usually lead to a reaction. However, we were caught unawares by this strange reaction. We didn’t see the reaction coming. Suddenly, all the classrooms started being locked up.
What offence did we commit? Which penalty is being meted out? Is it fair?
So, human beings are denying the animal kingdom the right to be educated!
By the way, which is better, an educated cow or a cow that could not do a simple addition? Mind you, we were almost getting addicted to education.
When a cow is educated, it will cooperate with the butchers at the point of slaughter. But an uneducated one would still fight the unnecessary fight for life when it is about to be slaughtered.
Though both end up at some fireplace, the educated cow is usually much more delicious than its illiterate counterpart!
