How could Nigeria be 60 years old? It’s nothing but a lie!
We claim to be giants of Africa. Sure, we should be, but for our being in chains.
I should think we have to critically examine ourselves as citizens or followers. That’s because it’s from the citizenry that leaders emerge.
I sincerely believe we, generally. aren’t imbued with the charasterics of quality citizenship.I say this with all sense of responsibility.
That’s why we have always ended up with charlatans in key positions. An example is obviously the tenant in Aso Villa. It still beats my imagination how, with his shabby treatment of Nigerians in the eighties, he could end up being voted as president.
But then, a particular maxim says, ‘A people deserves its ruling class’. The question now is, which way Nigeria?
We aren’t lacking in all that makes a nation truly great. However, shall we go on perambulating like the Israelites looking for the promised land?
Let the change start with our electing our very best to lead us!
