Lords checkmate Rwanda plan!

The U.K.’s Upper House has passed five amendments on the Rwanda bill.

If the amendments are ratified, it would make it harder for the lower house to declare Rwanda a “safe” country. It would therefore require the government to comply with domestic and in international laws.

The amendments would also severely affect the main purpose of the new bill if passed into law.
