I Don’t Get it! – Adewale Sobowale

It’s Tuesday. Yet, this week is already promising to be full of interesting things.

The most popular word in Nigeria now is “betray”. It’s become so popular that, quite often, many mix up the act and the subject.

More seriously, can the politicians say the reason they are declaring for whatever political post is because they love Nigerians?

Some have said Tinubu is not in this government, so he could hardly be blamed for the unnecessary tough times Nigeria is passing through.

Well, I vehemently disagree with such a view. Is it for nothing he’s being called party leader? Is he not one of those who sold the Buhari administration of “change” to Nigerians?

I don’t want to comment on his activities in Lagos, at least for now.

What did he say during the campaign against Mimiko in Ondo state? Didn’t he say he had more money than Osun state? Let him go enjoy the money he made legally and leave us alone.

Is he not the same man reputed to have taken a bullion van to his Bourdillon home?

As for Osibajo, he is VP in a hardly performing government and he wants to become president.

To visit more misfortunes on Nigeria and Nigerians?

It would have been more honorable for him to have resigned. it’s now becoming apparent why his church, RCCG, tried to float a Political Directorate.

The duo of Bello and FFK are just pretenders.

I really do want us to shelve the quota system in picking political leaders. However, since we’ve been having it, I want us to reexamine the possibility of having an Igbo president.

If we could, the evils of the civil war would definitely have been buried.

Then, let’s start electing people on merit!
