A delegation from the Swiss Parliamentary Group for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People has commenced a visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps and state institutions.
Sahara Press service reports that the delegation which includes parliamentarians representing various political parties will lead a visit to the Sahrawi legislative institution, where they will learn about the pioneering Sahrawi experience in managing the refugee camps and the achievements made in education, health, women’s participation, and the promotion of democratic practices.
The representative of the Polisario Front in Switzerland and at the United Nations and international organizations, Oubi Bushraya Bashir, confirmed the visit “comes to enhance Swiss parliamentary solidarity with the Sahrawi cause and to enable Swiss legislators in solidarity to learn about the various aspects of the Sahrawi people’s struggle.”
