Yeah!!
As far as being straightjacketed is concerned, I’m just too old to change!
I’ll not be caught, except when necessary, doing aso ebi, uniform, for social functions.
I certainly won’t be caught going to church only on Christmas day.
I have stopped going to church only on New Year’s eve too.
As far as new year resolutions are concerned, I’ve failed to see their usefulness.
So, when people decide to pick a day for the celebration of love, I really do have mixed feelings.
By the way, how many people know the story of St Valentine? How many of them do know that for him, love was not an annual but an everyday affair?
Do they know that love is not only about the opposite sex?
We could have love for ourselves, love for our children, love for our community, love for humanity, and so on!
But it saddens my heart that we have let the merchants take over our lives to the extent that they must dictate to us, for their own commercial advantage, all those things which should have come naturally to us.
For me, I will not stop loving those I love every micro second of my life!
