The situation in Nigeria, is to say the least, getting worse.
Killings, kidnappings and misgovernance are the order of the day. With the people being rendered more and more impotent as far as freedom of expression is concerned, the situation is getting more ominous.
A former senator put up a post warning Nigerians against the results of war. In his exalted position, he hasn’t seen that there’s already war in the common people’s pots since they could hardly feed their families.
Unfortunately, the ruling class is pretending as if things are just okay.
The latest is the house of representatives’ jettisoning the purchase of local vehicles for imported ones. With each vehicle projected at the rate of 9 million naira and 400 cars will be bought, let’s imagine how many local workers will be directly and indirectly employed by buying the vehicles in Nigeria.
If we look at the Nigerian situation critically, the rate of joblessness is so high that if a person gets a job, he would probably be feeding the extended family whether directly or indirectly.
Must we continue looking at the situation in Nigeria until, God forbid, it develops into a full blown war?
The signs are already there for those who care to peruse!
