Senatoring well! – Adewale Sobowale

I wonder why the press has failed to do one thing. What is it?

The overdue declaration of our man of all seasons as the best senator of all times.

He is certainly the best senator to have emerged from Nigeria. I don’t see how the future generation can ever beat his record.

Apart from his distinguished senatorial duties, he has even waxed a short-playing record. He is a man of culture, so it’s no wonder he searched for a culturally relevant song.

All these kids going to nursery schools where Yoruba is treated as vernacular will have no excuse but to be taught this song.

It could even become the national anthem. Fortunately, our man is in the national assembly. He can raise a point of order and tell the distinguished house that instead of the rather dull anthem being sung now, we should start using his own.

By the way, did you see him dancing? Those are the steps we will take when making his anthem official.

A jeku iya ni o je
Eni tio to ni na
Ton dena deni
Ajeku iya ni o he

Jijo iya ka wo
Jijo iya ka wo

You can see the new anthem is easy to learn!

Excuse me, but I humbly suggest that the Ankara material our distinguished senator is wearing should be our national dress. The armed forces and pupils should wear this as a uniform, and even university students must be forced to wear it.

This will boost the national income!

You can see the man is popular with the people. That’s why he has a policeman watching over him while he is partying.

Nigeria will certainly be scaling the depths if we have his type in Aso shortly—people who are up to the task in all its ramifications.

Great man!

Gbere! You’re almost there. We couldn’t be luckier with you. Our pride is that you’re a long-distance runner!!!
