The Nigerian election season is fading out. So many people who had been involved in the season film would certainly be awakened to the reality of daily life.
Brothers who had stopped greeting their brothers because of political differences would, hopefully, start seeing the reasons why they should not cut the ropes of kinship.
Sisters who had become strange bed fellows and had become no longer sisterly may be forced to think twice. That’s after seeing the futility of their actions.
Friends who had turned enemies, especially on the social media, would start being friends again. They would, of course, see reasons why it’s preferable to be friendly rather than being enemies.
Those people who had been beneficiaries of the politicians’ empowerment would soon finish the items that were given them and soon face reality.
Even if a family of three had been given a measure of rice, it would certainly finish. The same thing would apply to those who got the neatly packed gari and kulikuli.
Those educated people who had stopped the act of critical thinking would certainly put their thinking caps on.
Everyone would certainly wake up to reality. They would get to know they would be having another four years of time wasted.
Wake up to another period of unfulfilled promises.
It’s the morning AFTER!
