There’re various ways in which people display hunger. Mind you, there are even different types of hunger.
In Europe, where we can say our own brand of Christianity in Nigeria came from, all churches I know of, due to the current situation, have resorted to having online services.
But then, European churches, rather than being out of sync, are actually abreast of the situation. Most churches, except the African ones, care less about tithes and other financial donations.
It’s to be understood when one considers the fact that churches are becoming depopulated in the Western world. Most of the things people do beg God for are provided by government.
It’s against this background we should understand the pastorpreneurs who, against any sensible reasoning, are hellbent on starting church services in Africa, especially Nigeria.
Of course, they would quote generously from the bible about the need to be together in the worship of God. However, they conveniently forget the fact that it’s only the living that do worship.
Yeah! Except the pastors actually mean their laity are actually worshipping the smaller gods which they themselves are.
I know people won’t be so gullible to be feathering some small god’s nest at the expense of their own safety.
